Narrative:

Upon arrival into the dallas/forth worth area from the east at approximately 2000 ft and during a visual approach into the midlothian/waxahachie airport (jwy), I was intercepted by an F16 jet that came within 100-200 ft of my aircraft. I quickly became aware that there was a tfr in affect. The F16 turned 180 degrees and climbed, departing the area, indicating I may proceed. I quickly turned to 121.5 and monitored, but heard nothing. After I landed, hangared my plane, and called the FAA from the FBO, 2 midlothian police officers had already arrived. They took my information, inspected my airplane, and communicated everything about the incident to a secret service agent via telephone. The agent notified the officers that I was cleared and may go. That was the last I heard of the incident. Although I did not call a briefer, I did check the WX computer at mccollum field, GA, at approximately XA00Z and did not notice any restrs. I also picked up flight following with 3 controllers as I proceeded through the columbus, ms, military area. No one notified me of the restrs that would be in place when I arrived at approximately XI00Z. At the time of interception, I was also monitoring dallas approach, which seemed very busy and congested, like always during that time of day. No one speaking to approach nor any of the controllers mentioned anything about a restr. As I reflect back on this incident, I now know to call a briefer before every single flight, and multiple times if necessary to get the most up-to-date NOTAMS.

Narrative: UPON ARR INTO THE DALLAS/FORTH WORTH AREA FROM THE E AT APPROX 2000 FT AND DURING A VISUAL APCH INTO THE MIDLOTHIAN/WAXAHACHIE ARPT (JWY), I WAS INTERCEPTED BY AN F16 JET THAT CAME WITHIN 100-200 FT OF MY ACFT. I QUICKLY BECAME AWARE THAT THERE WAS A TFR IN AFFECT. THE F16 TURNED 180 DEGS AND CLBED, DEPARTING THE AREA, INDICATING I MAY PROCEED. I QUICKLY TURNED TO 121.5 AND MONITORED, BUT HEARD NOTHING. AFTER I LANDED, HANGARED MY PLANE, AND CALLED THE FAA FROM THE FBO, 2 MIDLOTHIAN POLICE OFFICERS HAD ALREADY ARRIVED. THEY TOOK MY INFO, INSPECTED MY AIRPLANE, AND COMMUNICATED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE INCIDENT TO A SECRET SVC AGENT VIA TELEPHONE. THE AGENT NOTIFIED THE OFFICERS THAT I WAS CLRED AND MAY GO. THAT WAS THE LAST I HEARD OF THE INCIDENT. ALTHOUGH I DID NOT CALL A BRIEFER, I DID CHK THE WX COMPUTER AT MCCOLLUM FIELD, GA, AT APPROX XA00Z AND DID NOT NOTICE ANY RESTRS. I ALSO PICKED UP FLT FOLLOWING WITH 3 CTLRS AS I PROCEEDED THROUGH THE COLUMBUS, MS, MIL AREA. NO ONE NOTIFIED ME OF THE RESTRS THAT WOULD BE IN PLACE WHEN I ARRIVED AT APPROX XI00Z. AT THE TIME OF INTERCEPTION, I WAS ALSO MONITORING DALLAS APCH, WHICH SEEMED VERY BUSY AND CONGESTED, LIKE ALWAYS DURING THAT TIME OF DAY. NO ONE SPEAKING TO APCH NOR ANY OF THE CTLRS MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT A RESTR. AS I REFLECT BACK ON THIS INCIDENT, I NOW KNOW TO CALL A BRIEFER BEFORE EVERY SINGLE FLT, AND MULTIPLE TIMES IF NECESSARY TO GET THE MOST UP-TO-DATE NOTAMS.
