Narrative:
As I flew midfield and did gumps, I saw 'no' landing gear down lights. I cycled the gear a few more times checking the fuses, looking at darkness very soon I decided to pull the fuse, push down the emergency gear extension and land the plane. 1) I wanted a C182, but it had problems. 2) I should not have cared about the pending darkness. 3) I did not know and I should have known that the 3 greens could be shut off. 4) I did not know the right way to use the emergency gear extension.
