Narrative:

Forward nose gear doors were found open on preflight after maintenance had changed the nose tires the night before. I called technical control and was told to leave the doors open, they would close on gear retraction. They did not. It got noisy and the plane vibrated. We returned to clt and had the doors closed by maintenance. One very nervous passenger deplaned. We refueled and took off to quiet and smooth morning skies.
