Narrative:

While giving dual flight instruction, I inadvertently entered the ADIZ. I normally instruct maneuvers in a more easterly area where I am quite familiar with landmarks which enable me to identify the ADIZ. I thought that I was outside of the ADIZ, but was advised by potomac that I had entered the ADIZ at one point during my instruction period. I the future, I will ask potomac to keep me on the discrete squawk code during the lesson, to avoid the chance of a 1200 squawk in the ADIZ. I will also give the ADIZ a wider bay.
