Narrative:
Ground personnel had left a cord attached to the outside of aircraft. On takeoff and climb the cord was hitting the side of aircraft making a noise. Aircraft circled and prepared to land back at ZZZ.

Title: AN MD80 WAS DISPATCHED WITH THE GND INTERPHONE HEADSET CORD ATTACHED TO THE AIRPLANE. FLT RETURNED TO THE FIELD FOR CORD REMOVAL.
Narrative: GND PERSONNEL HAD LEFT A CORD ATTACHED TO THE OUTSIDE OF ACFT. ON TKOF AND CLB THE CORD WAS HITTING THE SIDE OF ACFT MAKING A NOISE. ACFT CIRCLED AND PREPARED TO LAND BACK AT ZZZ.
