Narrative:

I was giving training instruction for a pilot's far part 135 check ride. On the localizer, when I asked for an option, the tower replied 'roger.' the tower operator then asked me to report a 2 mi final, which I forgot to do. We then landed. I'm not sure what the 'roger' response meant. The tower knew of our intentions, and there was no traffic conflict. However, I should have made the report of 2 mi out. In the duties of playing copilot in a large aircraft and instructing also, I forgot the report.
