Narrative:
I used incorrect call sign when turning B727 onto final, and the aircraft shot through final in front of FK27, who was maintaining visual separation from the B727. I feel air carrier's could do a better job with similar call signs.

Title: MEM TRACON CTLR MISSED FINAL TURN ON BECAUSE OF WRONG CALL SIGN USAGE.
Narrative: I USED INCORRECT CALL SIGN WHEN TURNING B727 ONTO FINAL, AND THE ACFT SHOT THROUGH FINAL IN FRONT OF FK27, WHO WAS MAINTAINING VISUAL SEPARATION FROM THE B727. I FEEL ACR'S COULD DO A BETTER JOB WITH SIMILAR CALL SIGNS.
