Narrative:

'Stars' preference settings (preference sets) are changing on their own. I have observed all elements change over the last 30 days or so including -- system area location, preview area location, tab list location, saved WX level settings, preset saved quick-look sectors not being displayed, altitude filter limits changing, etc, etc. Dangerous situation when climbing/descending aircraft using saved quick look functions that have changed (among other things). WX settings also seem to change at random causing you to vector into severe WX that is not displayed. Additionally 'stars' WX has proved to be highly inaccurate at mia, and inconsistent. We get a lot of severe WX here in the summer months and the 'stars' WX, to date, is often erroneous which can easily lead to a very dangerous situation.
