Narrative:

Moderate to heavy rain. First officer flying. Visibility poor and even worse through bad windshield, ineffective wipers, no rain repellant. On rollout and exit from runway, overheard tower advising king air to 'give way to air carrier X exiting runway.' with such poor visibility, I was totally focused ahead of aircraft and never noticed king air on parallel taxiway as we rolled out past him. As we began to turn onto high speed exit, captain shouted, 'whoa, watch out!' I still saw nothing dead ahead. Captain yelled 'stop!' and jumped on brakes. Only then did I observe king air passing us on the left, at a high speed, almost in the grass to get around us. Tower chewed him out. Aircraft were estimated by me to be 10-20 ft apart at closest point.
