Narrative:

The DISCX281 was rejected back to company central cleaning by a non destructive testing inspector. When part returned to non destructive testing, part was damaged. Supervisor in his investigation was advised by employee X, that he processed part in tank #15 for 15-20 mins. Engineering and non destructive testing inspector and supervisor believe part was over processed in alkaline chemical. Company waiting ge report on part.

Title: A GE CF6-80C2 ENG COMPRESSOR DISC WAS OVER PROCESSED IN ALKALINE CHEMICAL AND MAY HAVE DESTROYED THE DISC. TECHNICIAN DID NOT FILL OUT REQUIRED TANK LOG.
