Narrative:

While en route to ZZZ approximately 25 mi from my destination, my engine began running rough, and then quit. I selected a suitable landing location (a small access road in the desert) and proceeded to execute a forced landing. Neither my passenger nor myself were injured and the aircraft was not damaged. Later inspection revealed a leaky fuel line, which was repaired. The aircraft was an experimental RV8.
