Narrative:

I was called to do a welding job at air carrier airlines engine maintenance stalls. I was given a shop repair to do a weld job with engine module assembled. Shop repairs are for disassembled parts. There was no authority/authorized written. They were developing a repair, which is a good idea, to do the job better. But they were doing it not following procedures. I welded the bolt and holes per their shop 'docs,' except for one labeled hole which is partially welded. The other 2 holes I think are completed welded as per shop 'docs.' I'm concerned about the first hole. I welded it under the direction of the foreman in charge.
