Narrative:

On final approach at caracas, the controller kept vectoring us closer and closer to a C172 on approach until we received an RA. We started our evasive maneuver and the RA went out. The tower, or approach control down here, needs to get their act together. It was extremely hazy and difficult to see anything especially a small airplane. Someone needs to communicate that they need to separate large and small aircraft or there is going to be a midair collision.
