Narrative:

Because of required noise abatement procedure, sel training aircraft are forced to overfly passenger filled commercial aircraft at an altitude which could in the event of engine failure, result in a collision. Sel training aircraft are instructed to immediately turn left after takeoff from runway 19L placing them right above taxiing aircraft. This unsafe condition would be easily rectified.

Title: SAFETY OF RWY 19L NOISE ABATEMENT DEP AT SNA QUESTIONED.

Narrative: BECAUSE OF REQUIRED NOISE ABATEMENT PROC, SEL TRAINING ACFT ARE FORCED TO OVERFLY PAX FILLED COMMERCIAL ACFT AT AN ALT WHICH COULD IN THE EVENT OF ENG FAILURE, RESULT IN A COLLISION. SEL TRAINING ACFT ARE INSTRUCTED TO IMMEDIATELY TURN LEFT AFTER TKOF FROM RWY 19L PLACING THEM RIGHT ABOVE TAXIING ACFT. THIS UNSAFE CONDITION WOULD BE EASILY RECTIFIED.
