Narrative:

ATC gave flight a rerte prior to takeoff. ATC shows in their data that the flight was filed that way. As shown by the flight plan, the original route is different. Crew advised dispatch after takeoff. Fuel was ok to continue the flight. ATC does not have the authority to change the route of flight, only the pilot and dispatcher jointly have the authority/authorized. Correction: violate ATC. They do not have that authority/authorized.

Title: ACR DISPATCHER WANTS ATC VIOLATED FOR AMENDING A B737 FLT CREW'S RTE OF FLT WITHOUT THE DISPATCHER'S APPROVAL.

Narrative: ATC GAVE FLT A RERTE PRIOR TO TKOF. ATC SHOWS IN THEIR DATA THAT THE FLT WAS FILED THAT WAY. AS SHOWN BY THE FLT PLAN, THE ORIGINAL RTE IS DIFFERENT. CREW ADVISED DISPATCH AFTER TKOF. FUEL WAS OK TO CONTINUE THE FLT. ATC DOES NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO CHANGE THE RTE OF FLT, ONLY THE PLT AND DISPATCHER JOINTLY HAVE THE AUTH. CORRECTION: VIOLATE ATC. THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT AUTH.
