Narrative:
I obtained a standard WX briefing from milleville FSS prior to my departure from vay. I particularly asked the briefer about tfr's and ADIZ's along my route of flight. I was informed by the briefer of the baltimore class B ADIZ, which extends to the outer ring of the class B, and is from surface to FL180. Also, there was an expanded 10 mi restr zone around P40. I wrote all this down, but did not file a flight plan because I didn't know if I would be able to depart my job to make this flight. My original identify used during the call to FSS was in one aircraft, however, I ended up flying to fdk in another aircraft. I flew direct rtes to each waypoint, which would have kept me clear of the baltimore class B, and thus the ADIZ. Upon landing at fdk, I was informed by a customs enforcement officer that I had violated the baltimore ADIZ. He informed me that the baltimore ADIZ extends beyond the baltimore class B airspace, and beyond the mode C veil. I was not informed by the briefer that the ADIZ extended beyond the mode C veil. The potomac approach operations manager informed me via telephone, that I had violated the baltimore ADIZ, and that I might or might not be hearing from the FSDO. I cooperated fully with the customs officers and the potomac approach operations manager. I apologized to both for any inconvenience, but explained how I wasn't informed by FSS of the extended ADIZ around the baltimore class B.

Narrative: I OBTAINED A STANDARD WX BRIEFING FROM MILLEVILLE FSS PRIOR TO MY DEP FROM VAY. I PARTICULARLY ASKED THE BRIEFER ABOUT TFR'S AND ADIZ'S ALONG MY RTE OF FLT. I WAS INFORMED BY THE BRIEFER OF THE BALTIMORE CLASS B ADIZ, WHICH EXTENDS TO THE OUTER RING OF THE CLASS B, AND IS FROM SURFACE TO FL180. ALSO, THERE WAS AN EXPANDED 10 MI RESTR ZONE AROUND P40. I WROTE ALL THIS DOWN, BUT DID NOT FILE A FLT PLAN BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW IF I WOULD BE ABLE TO DEPART MY JOB TO MAKE THIS FLT. MY ORIGINAL IDENT USED DURING THE CALL TO FSS WAS IN ONE ACFT, HOWEVER, I ENDED UP FLYING TO FDK IN ANOTHER ACFT. I FLEW DIRECT RTES TO EACH WAYPOINT, WHICH WOULD HAVE KEPT ME CLR OF THE BALTIMORE CLASS B, AND THUS THE ADIZ. UPON LNDG AT FDK, I WAS INFORMED BY A CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT OFFICER THAT I HAD VIOLATED THE BALTIMORE ADIZ. HE INFORMED ME THAT THE BALTIMORE ADIZ EXTENDS BEYOND THE BALTIMORE CLASS B AIRSPACE, AND BEYOND THE MODE C VEIL. I WAS NOT INFORMED BY THE BRIEFER THAT THE ADIZ EXTENDED BEYOND THE MODE C VEIL. THE POTOMAC APCH OPS MGR INFORMED ME VIA TELEPHONE, THAT I HAD VIOLATED THE BALTIMORE ADIZ, AND THAT I MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT BE HEARING FROM THE FSDO. I COOPERATED FULLY WITH THE CUSTOMS OFFICERS AND THE POTOMAC APCH OPS MGR. I APOLOGIZED TO BOTH FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE, BUT EXPLAINED HOW I WASN'T INFORMED BY FSS OF THE EXTENDED ADIZ AROUND THE BALTIMORE CLASS B.
