Narrative:

Took off normally from eze, in cruise with gear up got 3 green down and locked indications even though gear was still up. Called air carrier maintenance controller and determined there was no definite way of knowing that when we put the gear down it would truly be down and locked. Diverted back to buenos aires because better runways and fire equipment. Landed uneventfully.
