Title: AN AIRBUS 300-600 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH A DEFERRED ITEM ON THE LNDG GEAR THAT WAS NOT THE TRUE MALFUNCTION RPTED.
Narrative: MEL WAS ISSUED AGAINST LNDG GEAR WARNING AND DETECTION SYS, 32-4. PROB WAS LNDG GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT IN #2 POS. MEL WAS ISSUED AT DIRECTION OF B757 TECHNICIAN SVCS SUPVR.
