Narrative:

I took my sister for a short flight over our home town of st augustine, fl, for a fun flight. Prior to flight, upon receiving taxi instructions, miscom was made on radio between ATC ground controller and myself. I proceeded to taxi to my active runway 31, and taxied over runway 6. I stopped and noticed a plane on a 2 mi final, but continued to cross, for the plane was far off and I was aware that my instructions were to taxi to runway 31. After crossing the ground controller told me I disobeyed his instructions and took my certificate number. I was under the impression my instructions were to taxi to runway 31 and no harm was done. Next time this happens I will make sure I receive full instructions before taxiing and tell controller about the poor radio communication. It will not happen again.
