Narrative:
On final approach for runway 5 at cae, I was looking down at my notes to see which FBO I was going to and what ground frequency I had to switch once I land. When I look up, I notice I was drifting to the right side of the runway, and wasn't on the centerline. Instead of landing on the edge of the runway and on top of the runway lights, I gave it full power and raised the noise up a little and I continued to drift to the right and I landed on the taxiway. I should have given it full power and done a go around. Land the airplane first, then check ground frequency and FBO.

Title: C152 PLT HAS AN UNSTABLE APCH AND LANDS ON A TXWY AT CAE.
Narrative: ON FINAL APCH FOR RWY 5 AT CAE, I WAS LOOKING DOWN AT MY NOTES TO SEE WHICH FBO I WAS GOING TO AND WHAT GND FREQ I HAD TO SWITCH ONCE I LAND. WHEN I LOOK UP, I NOTICE I WAS DRIFTING TO THE R SIDE OF THE RWY, AND WASN'T ON THE CTRLINE. INSTEAD OF LNDG ON THE EDGE OF THE RWY AND ON TOP OF THE RWY LIGHTS, I GAVE IT FULL PWR AND RAISED THE NOISE UP A LITTLE AND I CONTINUED TO DRIFT TO THE R AND I LANDED ON THE TXWY. I SHOULD HAVE GIVEN IT FULL PWR AND DONE A GAR. LAND THE AIRPLANE FIRST, THEN CHK GND FREQ AND FBO.
