Narrative:

Complete loss of radar with 2 aircraft at same altitude. They were never a factor for each other, but nothing is ever done about this problem. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated she has reported on the poor coverage for several yrs without anything ever being done. The reporter acknowledged that interference from the nearby city of charlotte, nc, is causing the problem. She said loss of target tracking occurs often in the sector toward the city.

Title: CLT APCH CTLR RPTS FREQUENT LOSS OF RADAR TARGETS.

Narrative: COMPLETE LOSS OF RADAR WITH 2 ACFT AT SAME ALT. THEY WERE NEVER A FACTOR FOR EACH OTHER, BUT NOTHING IS EVER DONE ABOUT THIS PROB. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED SHE HAS RPTED ON THE POOR COVERAGE FOR SEVERAL YRS WITHOUT ANYTHING EVER BEING DONE. THE RPTR ACKNOWLEDGED THAT INTERFERENCE FROM THE NEARBY CITY OF CHARLOTTE, NC, IS CAUSING THE PROB. SHE SAID LOSS OF TARGET TRACKING OCCURS OFTEN IN THE SECTOR TOWARD THE CITY.
