Narrative:
Runway 17/35 is being rebuilt, and intersection of taxiway C and runway is ripped up. My clearance was to taxi to runway 12 via taxiway a, requiring back taxiing on runway 12. I misunderstood the controller, and proceeded to taxi onto runway 12/30. When I got almost to the departure end of runway 12, the controller remarked that during the construction phase, I needed a clearance to taxi onto the runway.

Title: C210 TAXIING FOR DEP AT GCK ENTERED RWY WITHOUT ATC CLRNC.
Narrative: RWY 17/35 IS BEING REBUILT, AND INTXN OF TXWY C AND RWY IS RIPPED UP. MY CLRNC WAS TO TAXI TO RWY 12 VIA TXWY A, REQUIRING BACK TAXIING ON RWY 12. I MISUNDERSTOOD THE CTLR, AND PROCEEDED TO TAXI ONTO RWY 12/30. WHEN I GOT ALMOST TO THE DEP END OF RWY 12, THE CTLR REMARKED THAT DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE, I NEEDED A CLRNC TO TAXI ONTO THE RWY.
