Narrative:
It was a slow day, ground told me to 'taxi runway 12R at intersection K.' holding short of runway 12R, at intersection K for more than 3 mins, I looked out and saw no one on final. I called tower and told them that I was 'holding short of runway 12R.' what I thought he'd said was 'hold runway 12R.' most of the time they say 'roger' or 'stand by.' so, I taxied on to runway 12R, and as I did, I saw a B737 on final. I hoped I'd get a clearance for takeoff soon. Tower told me to 'get off runway 12R immediately' after waiting for more than 6 seconds. B737 went around. I got off runway 12R and waited again for my clearance for takeoff, and I did. 3 mins later, hobby tower told me they reviewed the tapes and heard me repeat 'hold short of runway 12R,' but what I don't understand is why they (or him) told me something I was already doing. Why not just a 'roger' or 'stand by' like they usually do? I think that was what confused me.

Title: AA5A PLT HAS A RWY INCURSION AND CAUSES ANOTHER ACFT TO GAR AT HOU.
Narrative: IT WAS A SLOW DAY, GND TOLD ME TO 'TAXI RWY 12R AT INTXN K.' HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 12R, AT INTXN K FOR MORE THAN 3 MINS, I LOOKED OUT AND SAW NO ONE ON FINAL. I CALLED TWR AND TOLD THEM THAT I WAS 'HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 12R.' WHAT I THOUGHT HE'D SAID WAS 'HOLD RWY 12R.' MOST OF THE TIME THEY SAY 'ROGER' OR 'STAND BY.' SO, I TAXIED ON TO RWY 12R, AND AS I DID, I SAW A B737 ON FINAL. I HOPED I'D GET A CLRNC FOR TKOF SOON. TWR TOLD ME TO 'GET OFF RWY 12R IMMEDIATELY' AFTER WAITING FOR MORE THAN 6 SECONDS. B737 WENT AROUND. I GOT OFF RWY 12R AND WAITED AGAIN FOR MY CLRNC FOR TKOF, AND I DID. 3 MINS LATER, HOBBY TWR TOLD ME THEY REVIEWED THE TAPES AND HEARD ME REPEAT 'HOLD SHORT OF RWY 12R,' BUT WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS WHY THEY (OR HIM) TOLD ME SOMETHING I WAS ALREADY DOING. WHY NOT JUST A 'ROGER' OR 'STAND BY' LIKE THEY USUALLY DO? I THINK THAT WAS WHAT CONFUSED ME.
