Narrative:

While acting as second in command on a flight from phnl to ksmo, I received a clearance from 'clearance delivery' in honolulu. The clearance read: 'cleared to destination airport via the molokai 4 departure, cluts transition, flight plan route, climb FL410. The flight plan that was filed and subsequently uploaded from the automated communication flight service was to follow the echo route via ebbr intersection, R577 edsel, then direct dinty. Upon receipt of the clearance, I was a little surprised to have received the cluts transition instead of the standard ebbr transition. I didn't question it at the time, assuming that there must have been an ATC reason to take us further north to the cluts intersection. After departure, we proceeded on course to cluts intersection. Everything was uneventful until passing cluts on course to intercept the proposed route east of ebbr. It was at this time that we were advised by ATC that we were off course. ATC advised us that we were filed on the charlie route after cluts. They then gave us the option to continue on course and climb to FL430. I realized at that time that there was more than 1 flight plan originally filed for us by 2 different flight planning agencies. The captain of the flight cancelled 1 of the flight plans before departure. The flight plan that was uploaded was not the same as the 1 that ATC had given. Presumably, the flight plan that was uploaded by us was the route that we intended to fly and the 1 that was given by 'clearance delivery' was the one that we had intended to cancel. The lesson learned for me is to always query the controllers if there is every any doubt. Also, better coordination between crew members could have avoided this problem.

Title: FLT CREW OF GLF4 EXPERIENCED TRACK DEV WHEN GIVEN DEP TO WAYPOINT NOT ON RTE LOADED INFLT MGMNT SYS.

Narrative: WHILE ACTING AS SECOND IN COMMAND ON A FLT FROM PHNL TO KSMO, I RECEIVED A CLRNC FROM 'CLRNC DELIVERY' IN HONOLULU. THE CLRNC READ: 'CLRED TO DEST ARPT VIA THE MOLOKAI 4 DEP, CLUTS TRANSITION, FLT PLAN RTE, CLB FL410. THE FLT PLAN THAT WAS FILED AND SUBSEQUENTLY UPLOADED FROM THE AUTOMATED COM FLT SVC WAS TO FOLLOW THE ECHO RTE VIA EBBR INTXN, R577 EDSEL, THEN DIRECT DINTY. UPON RECEIPT OF THE CLRNC, I WAS A LITTLE SURPRISED TO HAVE RECEIVED THE CLUTS TRANSITION INSTEAD OF THE STANDARD EBBR TRANSITION. I DIDN'T QUESTION IT AT THE TIME, ASSUMING THAT THERE MUST HAVE BEEN AN ATC REASON TO TAKE US FURTHER N TO THE CLUTS INTXN. AFTER DEP, WE PROCEEDED ON COURSE TO CLUTS INTXN. EVERYTHING WAS UNEVENTFUL UNTIL PASSING CLUTS ON COURSE TO INTERCEPT THE PROPOSED RTE E OF EBBR. IT WAS AT THIS TIME THAT WE WERE ADVISED BY ATC THAT WE WERE OFF COURSE. ATC ADVISED US THAT WE WERE FILED ON THE CHARLIE RTE AFTER CLUTS. THEY THEN GAVE US THE OPTION TO CONTINUE ON COURSE AND CLB TO FL430. I REALIZED AT THAT TIME THAT THERE WAS MORE THAN 1 FLT PLAN ORIGINALLY FILED FOR US BY 2 DIFFERENT FLT PLANNING AGENCIES. THE CAPT OF THE FLT CANCELLED 1 OF THE FLT PLANS BEFORE DEP. THE FLT PLAN THAT WAS UPLOADED WAS NOT THE SAME AS THE 1 THAT ATC HAD GIVEN. PRESUMABLY, THE FLT PLAN THAT WAS UPLOADED BY US WAS THE RTE THAT WE INTENDED TO FLY AND THE 1 THAT WAS GIVEN BY 'CLRNC DELIVERY' WAS THE ONE THAT WE HAD INTENDED TO CANCEL. THE LESSON LEARNED FOR ME IS TO ALWAYS QUERY THE CTLRS IF THERE IS EVERY ANY DOUBT. ALSO, BETTER COORD BTWN CREW MEMBERS COULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS PROB.
