Narrative:

Danbury has 2 runways, runway 8/26 and runway 17/35. My aircraft on is the northwest side of the airport, I get my fueling on the southeast side requiring that I cross runway 8. On this day, I was on the northwest side station, and made a call to ground telling them that I wanted to taxi to my old FBO on the northeast side. I actually wanted to taxi to the southeast side, and am not sure why I said northeast. I was cleared, and proceeded to northeast. Just before I reached runway 8, ground shrieked at me to immediately stop. I did, and ground then said they cleared me to northeast, not southeast. I held short, and ground eventually cleared me across runway 8 to southeast. Not sure what I was thinking when I made the initial incorrect call. The northeast FBO was my old FBO, and where I used to get fuel, so this probably explains the slip-up.

Title: C172 AT DXR EXPERIENCED CONFUSION WITH TAXI RTE CLRNC.

Narrative: DANBURY HAS 2 RWYS, RWY 8/26 AND RWY 17/35. MY ACFT ON IS THE NW SIDE OF THE ARPT, I GET MY FUELING ON THE SE SIDE REQUIRING THAT I CROSS RWY 8. ON THIS DAY, I WAS ON THE NW SIDE STATION, AND MADE A CALL TO GND TELLING THEM THAT I WANTED TO TAXI TO MY OLD FBO ON THE NE SIDE. I ACTUALLY WANTED TO TAXI TO THE SE SIDE, AND AM NOT SURE WHY I SAID NE. I WAS CLRED, AND PROCEEDED TO NE. JUST BEFORE I REACHED RWY 8, GND SHRIEKED AT ME TO IMMEDIATELY STOP. I DID, AND GND THEN SAID THEY CLRED ME TO NE, NOT SE. I HELD SHORT, AND GND EVENTUALLY CLRED ME ACROSS RWY 8 TO SE. NOT SURE WHAT I WAS THINKING WHEN I MADE THE INITIAL INCORRECT CALL. THE NE FBO WAS MY OLD FBO, AND WHERE I USED TO GET FUEL, SO THIS PROBABLY EXPLAINS THE SLIP-UP.
