Narrative:

Entered holding pattern using GPS. Aircraft failed to stay in protected airspace due to someone having changed the bank angle on the GPS. After flying holding pattern manually, reviewed data in GPS and found the bank limit had been restr to 20 degrees at 25000 ft and 15 degrees at 15000 ft. Bank angle should be 30 degrees and 20 degrees respectively. Wrote up GPS on landing.

Title: AN MD80 FLC ENTERS NON PROTECTED AIRSPACE DURING A HOLDING PATTERN DUE TO THE GPS BEING IMPROPERLY SET.

Narrative: ENTERED HOLDING PATTERN USING GPS. ACFT FAILED TO STAY IN PROTECTED AIRSPACE DUE TO SOMEONE HAVING CHANGED THE BANK ANGLE ON THE GPS. AFTER FLYING HOLDING PATTERN MANUALLY, REVIEWED DATA IN GPS AND FOUND THE BANK LIMIT HAD BEEN RESTR TO 20 DEGS AT 25000 FT AND 15 DEGS AT 15000 FT.
