Narrative:

Landed on runway 4R, told to hold short of runway 4L. Heavy snow prior days leaving slick, snow covered txwys. Mistook runway 4L for parallel and taxiway between runways. First officer pointed out hold short sign just as it was 10-15 ft in front of cockpit. Maximum braking, but due to slick surface, slid past hold short line. Tower notified, no runway excursion per his computer or our window view. No incident occurred. Problem: poor lighting on parallel taxiway such that it went by unnoticed.
