Repositioning flight, phl to ZZZ. All cargo doors closed and secure upon arrival at aircraft in phl. After arrival at ZZZ, we were informed by ramp agent and follow-on captain that there was approximately 20000 pounds of cargo on board which should have been offloaded in phl when the aircraft arrived there from XXXX, first officer. Aircraft cleared by customs for return flight to phl.
