Narrative:

In aug/2002, I experienced a tingling of my left thumb and lower lip. An ekg and CAT scan showed normal. Family doctor had tests completed and reported small vessel disease, possible tia. I was not placed on any medication. Unaware of far 61.53, I went back to flying as a private pilot and flight engineer. My physical is due in june and I would put the above information on my physical paperwork. In february, my left leg swelled up and the doppler examination showed a small blood clot in my left leg. I was placed on blood thinners. I called my AME and asked if I could fly while using the blood thinner. He told me that under far 61.53 I needed to inform the FAA. After reading far 61.53, I should have reported the possible tia.
