Narrative:

During company (air carrier) sponsored flight conducted under far 91, passenger were allowed to access flight deck for photo opportunities, including some passenger sitting in captain's seat for photos. This was a company farewell flight for the retirement of an medium large transport captain. I served as first officer, and am qualified as captain/check airman in the medium large transport. 5 days after the farewell flight, I was informed of a company investigation of the possibility of 2 revenue passenger being onboard for the last 3 legs. The crew did not know until 5 days after the event. The passenger (non-revenue) were allowed to take photos while the retiring captain was in the cabin shaking hands and saying good-bye. In the future, all far 91 flts, operated by 121 air carrier's should be required to meet 121 requirements for handling of passenger. Secondly, 1 passenger, a personal friend of the retiring captain, was allowed to fly the aircraft for about 5-10 mins. It now appears that, while highly qualified with other aircraft (former wwii pilot), his manipulation of the controls may not have been in compliance with far 61. Recommend a review for all PIC's of large aircraft to review requirements as listed under far 61. Recommend the air carrier's be advised to not allow anyone, at anytime, to enter flight deck during far 91 flts.

Title: MLG FO NOTIFIED A WK AFTER THE EVENT BY COMPANY PERSONNEL THAT NON REVENUE AND REVENUE PAX ON BOARD A 'LAST FLT' OF A RETIRING CAPT THAT HAD UNAUTH ACCESS TO THE COCKPIT.

Narrative: DURING COMPANY (ACR) SPONSORED FLT CONDUCTED UNDER FAR 91, PAX WERE ALLOWED TO ACCESS FLT DECK FOR PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING SOME PAX SITTING IN CAPT'S SEAT FOR PHOTOS. THIS WAS A COMPANY FAREWELL FLT FOR THE RETIREMENT OF AN MLG CAPT.
