Narrative:

When filing IFR to ffz, prescott FSS advised using ferer 5 STAR, which we did. Departing our airport, ZDV cleared us to ffz via the ferer 5. When we contacted ZAB and advised controller we were going direct 1 mi northwest ferer 5, he said that arrival had been discontinued about 1 yr ago and 'did you not know that?' he then cleared us for the jacobs 1 arrival. Why didn't FSS, ZDV, honeywell (our FMS database) and commercial charts know it had been discontinued for over 1 yr? Neither is there any notice in the fdc or local NOTAMS. It is still being printed on the back of the same commercial chart page as the jacobs 1.
