Narrative:

Cleared direct to yri. I was on my crew rest break. According to captain and relief pilot, center cleared flight to go direct to yri. They selected and verified yri in the FMC and went direct. Center called and asked where they were going. They had actually selected yxi and went direct. The flight was 3 mi off a direct course to yri.

Title: B767 CREW HAD A TRACK DEV WHEN THE WRONG WAYPOINT WAS ENTERED INTO THE FMC.

Narrative: CLRED DIRECT TO YRI. I WAS ON MY CREW REST BREAK. ACCORDING TO CAPT AND RELIEF PLT, CTR CLRED FLT TO GO DIRECT TO YRI. THEY SELECTED AND VERIFIED YRI IN THE FMC AND WENT DIRECT. CTR CALLED AND ASKED WHERE THEY WERE GOING. THEY HAD ACTUALLY SELECTED YXI AND WENT DIRECT. THE FLT WAS 3 MI OFF A DIRECT COURSE TO YRI.
