Narrative:

Departing eyq with 1 passenger for sightseeing the houston-galveston area, I contacted houston approach for advisories. Approximately 8-10 NM west of gls, the engine stopped. We landed on west beach. I found the selector on both, started engine, radioed GPS unicom that problem solved and we would be in for fuel. Flight to eyq from gls with no problem with aircraft. This incident was caused due to a fuel mismgmnt mistake. A stupid pilot error -- period.
