Narrative:

Aircraft X arriving on trip abc had a PIREP stating that the navigation database was out of date. Upon examination, both databases were expiring on dec/tue/02. I called technician for a placard but was told that the navigation database was good until that night. I signed item off as ok for use, expires XA00Z on the date in question, which would have been XB00 local time which would be legal for that leg plus.

Narrative: ACFT X ARRIVING ON TRIP ABC HAD A PIREP STATING THAT THE NAV DATABASE WAS OUT OF DATE. UPON EXAM, BOTH DATABASES WERE EXPIRING ON DEC/TUE/02.
