Narrative:

We required deicing in ZZZ on a B737-700 due to snow. We discussed the deicing procedures regarding the airworthiness directive on the B737-700. We complied with the 270 KT speed restr and made an entry in the maintenance log, noting that we had deiced. We informed the next crew that we had deiced. However, we did not notify maintenance control of deicing and request MEL 27-99, as required by the procedure. We were in error for not properly executing the paperwork portion of bulletin 02-3 of the flight handbook. A recommendation would be to place, this procedure with the rest of the deicing procedures in the 10-7S so that there is a single reference for deicing.
