Narrative:

Plane was deiced at gate. Man doing the deicing did an excellent job of deicing the gear, wing leading edges, and especially the engines -- which apparently was why we were one of the only B737's that did not incur any icing damage departing that night. Pad deicing people had us shut down the engines and they also did a thorough job of deicing us as word was out that some of the airplanes departing den that night were having problems. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the engines and landing gear were deiced on the gate and after pushback the airplane was taxied to the deicing pad for the complete airplane deicing. The reporter said the airplane incurred no blade damage and believes this was the result of careful and deliberate blade deicing. The reporter stated at the time of deicing at the gate, word was sent out of previous departures incurring blade damage.

Title: B737-300 CREW RPTS AFTER THOROUGH ACFT AND ENG DEICING THE ENGS WERE NOT DAMAGED AT DEST.

Narrative: PLANE WAS DEICED AT GATE. MAN DOING THE DEICING DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF DEICING THE GEAR, WING LEADING EDGES, AND ESPECIALLY THE ENGS -- WHICH APPARENTLY WAS WHY WE WERE ONE OF THE ONLY B737'S THAT DID NOT INCUR ANY ICING DAMAGE DEPARTING THAT NIGHT. PAD DEICING PEOPLE HAD US SHUT DOWN THE ENGS AND THEY ALSO DID A THOROUGH JOB OF DEICING US AS WORD WAS OUT THAT SOME OF THE AIRPLANES DEPARTING DEN THAT NIGHT WERE HAVING PROBS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ENGS AND LNDG GEAR WERE DEICED ON THE GATE AND AFTER PUSHBACK THE AIRPLANE WAS TAXIED TO THE DEICING PAD FOR THE COMPLETE AIRPLANE DEICING. THE RPTR SAID THE AIRPLANE INCURRED NO BLADE DAMAGE AND BELIEVES THIS WAS THE RESULT OF CAREFUL AND DELIBERATE BLADE DEICING. THE RPTR STATED AT THE TIME OF DEICING AT THE GATE, WORD WAS SENT OUT OF PREVIOUS DEPS INCURRING BLADE DAMAGE.
