Narrative:

On the evening of sep/thu/02, I was assigned a service check on aircraft. The nose tires on the aircraft required changing so I returned to the shop to pick up the tires. I pulled 2 wheel/tire assemblies from our -700 tire stock. This is where the problem originated. A -300/500 assembly had inadvertently been placed in the -700 stock after being inspected. Ultimately I was responsible for not verifying that the proper tires were installed. I am not certain when the problem was discovered. The proper tires were installed on sep/mon/02, (only #1 was incorrect) during a dayshift through flight at ZZZ. Mr X issued a letter to all inspectors/alternates to be aware of tire placement into stock after inspection. I have advised other mechanics to verify part numbers of nosewheel assemblies before installation.
