Narrative:

On takeoff from lax airport, the tower reported seeing debris on runway left from our aircraft. Later in-flight, as a precaution, due to possibly having lost one or more tires on takeoff, the captain requested that we prepare the cabin for an emergency landing. We diverted to hnl instead of landing at lih. 1 hour before landing in hnl we completed our evacuate/evacuation checklist. We landed in hnl without any problems. The aircraft was repaired and we continued to lih without incident.
