Narrative:
Leaving sna, we were told to hold short of runway 19L. I read back the tower instructions to hold short of runway 19L. I called out to stop as we approached the hold short line and about 1 second later, the tower said same -- as the nose of our aircraft passed over the hold short line. We stopped and the tower said again that we were to hold short of the left but that now we were to continue and hold short of runway 19R. A small plane on short final for runway 19L went around. Later we were cleared for takeoff, and continued to lax.

Title: EMB145 JET CAPT STOPPED PAST THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE DURING TAXI OUT DUE TO WRONG INTERP OF THE RWY TO WHICH TO HOLD. ANOTHER ACFT WAS SENT AROUND.
Narrative: LEAVING SNA, WE WERE TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 19L. I READ BACK THE TWR INSTRUCTIONS TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 19L. I CALLED OUT TO STOP AS WE APCHED THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND ABOUT 1 SECOND LATER, THE TWR SAID SAME -- AS THE NOSE OF OUR ACFT PASSED OVER THE HOLD SHORT LINE. WE STOPPED AND THE TWR SAID AGAIN THAT WE WERE TO HOLD SHORT OF THE L BUT THAT NOW WE WERE TO CONTINUE AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 19R. A SMALL PLANE ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 19L WENT AROUND. LATER WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF, AND CONTINUED TO LAX.
