Narrative:
After takeoff from bos, AC electrical power was lost on left bus. Ran checklists per procedure. Returned to bos landing visual on runway 4R. Loss of longitudinal trim was a result of electrical failure. There was also a loss of altitude alert, autoflt, flight director, autothrottle and left engine and system instruments. At times, there were deviations of about +/-200-250 ft from assigned altitude.
