Narrative:

Replacement pilot left flight deck while captain was on break. No security bar was used. First officer was left unaccompanied with nobody to bar the door. The reason: flight attendant call button was intermittent. Relief pilot was feeling ill and there was not enough time to find a flight attendant to bar the door. Cockpit was unsecured for approximately 2 mins as a result. Communication was difficult due to the broken call chime and the security bar system.

Title: COCKPIT DOOR UNSECURED AFTER CAPT EXITS COCKPIT.

Narrative: REPLACEMENT PLT LEFT FLT DECK WHILE CAPT WAS ON BREAK. NO SECURITY BAR WAS USED. FO WAS LEFT UNACCOMPANIED WITH NOBODY TO BAR THE DOOR. THE REASON: FLT ATTENDANT CALL BUTTON WAS INTERMITTENT. RELIEF PLT WAS FEELING ILL AND THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO FIND A FLT ATTENDANT TO BAR THE DOOR. COCKPIT WAS UNSECURED FOR APPROX 2 MINS AS A RESULT. COMMUNICATION WAS DIFFICULT DUE TO THE BROKEN CALL CHIME AND THE SECURITY BAR SYSTEM.
