Narrative:

At approximately the beginning of may, a C172P came into our shop for rudder repairs and an annual inspection. This aircraft was a 'project plane.' we worked on it off and on for the rest of the month. After considerable pressure from the owner, we set aside our flight school planes and focused on this plane to finish it up in june. On jun/tue/02, I signed the aircraft off as airworthy after an annual inspection. The aircraft was ferried to ZZZ1 to be put on a flight school 06/fri/02. On jun/thu/02, I was informed that the pmi of the flight school found that the pitot static certification and altimeter certification were overdue by 1 yr 3 months. In the rush to finally finish the plane, I was negligent in my research and missed looking up this date. By doing this, I signed off an aircraft falsely as being airworthy. To remedy the situation next time, I will not rush paperwork procedures to satisfy the customer's demand to finish the aircraft quickly. I will also pay closer attention to squawks and checklist signoffs when dealing with a 'project plane.

TO REMEDY THE SIT NEXT TIME, I WILL NOT RUSH PAPERWORK PROCS TO SATISFY THE CUSTOMER'S DEMAND TO FINISH THE ACFT QUICKLY. I WILL ALSO PAY CLOSER ATTN TO SQUAWKS AND CHKLIST SIGNOFFS WHEN DEALING WITH A 'PROJECT PLANE.
