Narrative:
I traveled non rev, on a vacation trip via an md-80. I checked baggage at the counter because of firearms, ammunition and knives. I was asked if I had any sharp objects in my carry on bag. I thought I had put every weapon in my checked baggage. I proceeded through security and was checked personally and my bag was scanned. Nothing was found. I proceeded to the departure gate and was screened. My carry on bag was searched and a new knife was found by the manual screening. The screener confiscated the knife. It is a bench made switch blade for my collection. I asked if I could stay and regain the weapon. I was told no, that all contraband would be forfeited. I boarded the flight and mentioned the incident to the captain. Upon arrival in anc I was met by airport police.
