Narrative:

As we arrived at the gate and the engines turned off, there was a loud grinding sound -- as though metal on metal. The smoke that began to fill the cabin was white and did not smell like a fire. The flight attendant #2 called cockpit and I elevated on an aisle seat to see where the smoke was coming from and if I could see flames. The smoke seemed almost like fumes -- it bothered my throat, not my eyes. The #1 flight attendant asked people to get their belongings quickly and deplane through forward entry door. We (flight attendants) also got our things and followed the passenger out. Before we had time to deplane, the fire department was on the plane checking for fire. People did not move very fast. They were calm and not aware there could be danger is the way I felt.
