Narrative:

At 10 mi out of dpa airport, I radioed in and told my position as 10 mi west and at that time I was told to go right pattern to runway 28 and was also told to report the river, which is about 3 mi out. I reported the river where I was told to continue to runway 28 in a right downwind. When I got abeam runway 20L, I was cleared to land runway 20L. I didn't catch the difference in the 2 runways. I was told twice to report runway 28 and when told runway 20L, I continued thinking runway 28. I landed on runway 28, as there was no traffic anywhere. After I cleared runway 28, the controller asked why I landed runway 28 in place of runway 20L. I responded that I didn't realize that I had made that mistake.
