Narrative:

C172 was given heading 180 degrees from local controller. After aircraft arrived, she needed help finding airport. Aircraft said 'have the field in sight.' local controller cleared aircraft to land runway 15L. Aircraft landed taxiway east. Local controller was not aware the C172 landed on taxiway until aircraft in pattern advised traffic he was following landing on the taxiway east. I was working ground control and did not observe aircraft landing on taxiway east. I should have been scanning the field. It was not busy, a lull in the traffic.
