Narrative:

Clearance to taxi to runway 18L from the air carrier ramp at mem. I turned onto taxiway Y vice continue to taxiway B to hold short of taxiway a. This left my tail over runway 27 (holding short of taxiway a on taxiway Y). There was no conflict to my knowledge with landing traffic to runway 27. We received a new full route clearance while holding at spot X and this sizeable distraction had my attention. If I was given clearance to 'taxi to runway 18L via taxiway B, hold short of taxiway a,' I missed it. The reason I missed the call (via taxiway Y or via taxiway B) is because of my concern over inserting the new full route clearance and related fuel/dispatch issues.
