Narrative:

On mar/thu/02, I worked aircraft XXX with an inbound item of, requiring several units of aileron trim to fly level. I found the aileron cables out of rig and rigged aileron per the maintenance manual. I did not have inspection verify the work performed, and recently I was made aware of the mistake. The work has since been inspected and found to be satisfactory. I feel we can possibly prevent further occurrences by revising the maintenance manual to include a note block referencing the requirement of an rii item.
