Narrative:

Contact approach. On the ILS runway 18R approach at okc, ILS signal failed at about 8 NM. We had field at about 6 NM on the GPS. Tower cleared us for the contact approach and cleared to land. This was difficult to analyze due to a very time-compressed event. We are not allowed to do contact approachs and ATC cannot initiate this anyway.

Narrative: CONTACT APCH. ON THE ILS RWY 18R APCH AT OKC, ILS SIGNAL FAILED AT ABOUT 8 NM. WE HAD FIELD AT ABOUT 6 NM ON THE GPS. TWR CLRED US FOR THE CONTACT APCH AND CLRED TO LAND. THIS WAS DIFFICULT TO ANALYZE DUE TO A VERY TIME-COMPRESSED EVENT. WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO CONTACT APCHS AND ATC CANNOT INITIATE THIS ANYWAY.
