Narrative:

Location: taxiway east at runway 24L, taxi pretkof, taxiing to runway 24L for takeoff. Company had just departed and there were no other aircraft ahead of us as we were #1. Finalizing checklist items and made 'prepare for takeoff' PA. Taxied just past the 'hold here' sign. Lax tower told us to hold short of taxiway V. Accomplished same. I was previously aware of but had missed the 'hold here' to my left. Please note that the same situation exists on taxiway B at taxiway F for runway 25R and there is a yellow line across the taxiway signifying same. There is one that I can recall on taxiway east for runway 24L. Please note that if you are cleared via the 'north' route, that no reference is given on commercial chart requiring a hold other than the normal 'hold short' line. The commercial chart does not show a hold line on runway 24L as runway 254 does at taxiway F. This was not a runway incursion, as we did not cross the runway 'hold short' line for runway 24L.

I WAS PREVIOUSLY AWARE OF BUT HAD MISSED THE 'HOLD HERE' TO MY L. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SAME SIT EXISTS ON TXWY B AT TXWY F FOR RWY 25R AND THERE IS A YELLOW LINE ACROSS THE TXWY SIGNIFYING SAME. THERE IS ONE THAT I CAN RECALL ON TXWY E FOR RWY 24L. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE CLRED VIA THE 'N' RTE, THAT NO REF IS GIVEN ON COMMERCIAL CHART REQUIRING A HOLD OTHER THAN THE NORMAL 'HOLD SHORT' LINE. THE COMMERCIAL CHART DOES NOT SHOW A HOLD LINE ON RWY 24L AS RWY 254 DOES AT TXWY F. THIS WAS NOT A RWY INCURSION, AS WE DID NOT CROSS THE RWY 'HOLD SHORT' LINE FOR RWY 24L.
